Of course we can do the work for you on a consulting basis. This is the traditional approach. We have been doing Essbase optimization many years and have tons of experience. 

Remote Optimization Service:

We can install your application in our lab where we can run dozens of automated tests in a short time. It’s extremely cost-effective and thorough. We can usually dramatically reduce process times for under $5000 with no security risks. 

Optimization Workshop at Your Site:

This is a collaborative development approach where we teach you to do the optimization and then work with you to optimize your databases. It’s cost-effective because you do a lot of the work. It’s effective because MTG’s experienced consultants work with you. Best of all it develops your own internal skills and capabilities so you are more skilled and more self-sufficent going forward. 

Online Optimization Workshop:

We can deliver the same Optimization Workshop online. This works well for smaller teams and where travel costs are an issue. Again, it’s cost-effective and improves your own capabilities for the future. We will be publishing a schedule for our online classes in the next week or so.

“Two weeks ago, I attempted to replicate that weeks production results, so I created a test cube and installed the changes you suggested. I then loaded it with production data and calculated it. 

The results were pretty dramatic. I found that time to calculate was reduced by 17 hours. Since I calculated the test cube during the week, this stat might even improve when put into production, since that calculates over the weekend when there is less activity on the server. 

However, the biggest payoff was the reduction in space requirements. We went from ~48.0 gig to 8.5 gig.
