About the Instructor

Ron Moore

Ron Moore was one of the first Essbase certified consultants in the world. He has over 30 years experience in financial modeling and 18 years experience as an Essbase developer and trainer. He is the founder of Marketing Technologies Group which specializes in Essbase training, consulting and collaborative development.

Ron is well known for his ability to reveal the mysteries of Essbase using real world examples from his more than 17 years of hands-on field experience. He has received more than a dozen Oracle University Quality Club Awards and is a frequent presenter at industry conferences such as ODTUG’s Kaleidoscope. He has also presented in Europe as part of the Oracle Celebrity Series.

Prior to founding MTG Ron worked for Manageware, developers of Compete!, one of the earliest desktop OLAP tools, and for The Alcar Group who developed software for shareholder value and strategic financial planning. He also has worked for the Futures Group, a futurist consulting firm and he also taught college economics. He holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Economics from Boston University.
